About Us

Cycling Exchange was launched in 2025 by Tommy Hixon, an avid cyclist, and Stuart Whitaker, who happens to own digital marketing agency in Jackson, MS. Tommy and Stuart had previously launched a few other marketplace sites and saw Cycling Exchange as a great opportunity to fill what Tommy saw as a void in the cycling industry.

The idea came from Tommy's frustration in searching for a dedicated website for buying and selling some hard to find used items in areas he’s passionate about. Sure there was eBay and Craigslist and lots of Facebook marketplace groups, but none of those had the experience that he was looking for. eBay had millions of products that had nothing to do with cycling and the fees were too high. Craigslist was great but just didn’t offer the kind of experience he was seeking. Many hard to find items  were available in forums and marketplace groups, but there are SO many out there that it became hard to navigate. Thus, Cycling Exchange was born.

Finally, a place just for cyclists, just to sell bikes and cycling gear. It's easy to navigate and free to list (there is a small sales fee for completed transactions).
